Today
Since 1954 a total number of 1500 cranes have been delivered worldwide and both ITALGRU and BONFANTI are established market leaders in crane technology.

2004
BONFANTI and ITALGRU move to Ambivere (BG) in a large industrial site of 130.000 sq.m. with 26.000 sq.m. of covered production area, 2.000 sq.m. of offices and 2.500 sq.m. of spare parts warehouse and maintenance facilities.
The new headquarter takes advantage from very close transportation infrastructures: 5 km from Motorway, 20 km from Milan-Bergamo Airport and Bergamo Railway Station.
1995
BONFANTI acquires ITALGRU (now Italgru S.r.l.), combining their vast experience in heavy-duty hoisting and mechanical technologies
Mr. Renato Bonfanti, who was the founder of BONFANTI SRL in the 60s, now becomes the Chairman of the Board of both Companies, while his son Fabrizio Bonfanti is appointed CEO of ITALGRU.
1980
With the production of its rubber-tyred mobile harbour cranes, ITALGRU achieved an important milestone as it now produced a complete range of machinery designed for handling heavy loads, bulk cargoes, containers and conventional cargo.
The company also began to concentrate its efforts on technological improvements in its design sector by implementing in-house quality control measures against all equipment which included rigorous laboratory tests on materials.
1960
Years 60-70, the ITALGRU brand made a significant achievement when it supplied 90 mobile truck cranes to the Italian military engineering corps and started to become a recognized name in the Italian market.

1954
Foundation of ITALGRU S.p.A. by a private group of investors to develop, design and manufacture mobile cranes on truck, port cranes and off-shore cranes.
Anticipating market trends is an integral part of ITALGRU’s philosophy and the company took an important step forward when it presented its AG 30 model truck cranes that were designed with a maximum capacity of 30 tonnes. The AG 30 crane was the largest truck crane being produced in Italy at the time.
